Currently Journey4YOUth provides sponsorships for 10 students in Secondary School.
In Kenya it costs $35 for a child to go to school from 1st-8th grade but high school (secondary) is $400-$600 a year.
Many of these young people won't have the opportunity to continue their education if they aren't selected for one of our sponsorships as the cost for Secondary/University is beyond one family's yearly wage. Please help us give these amazing young people an opportunity to continue their education.
The community has created a process to select who receives the sponsorship based on grades, community involvement and vulnerability. Our goal is to see all 10 students through secondary and hopefully beyond to college and university but in addition to raising support for them each year we have many more students finishing class 8 hoping to receive higher education sponsorships.
Is easier to get a young child sponsored for $35 a year.
What we need is creative ways or groups of people together to commit to supporting higher education sponsorships.
