Help Journey4YOUth Break the Cycle of Poverty
One Family, One Business, One Community at a Time
Activate your community to make a lasting impact in another community. Begin the cycle of sustainability and give the ultimate gift of empowerment.
Journey4YOUth is seeking 36 people who will commit to finding support for a woman/man to start a small business in Kenya.
This one time investment will launch a series of small sustainable businesses in Kaswanga Village.
Give a Gift that Will Keep on Giving
The loan your community funds will be paid forward to another woman in 2-3 years and that woman will pay it forward to yet another, launching a new small businesses in Kenya every 2-3 years; building the local economy and improving the quality of life for all.
Members from The Orphans and Widows with Hope Self Help Group have completed a series of environmental, small business and empowerment trainings over the last several months. Each group member has also contributed their own savings to their business start-up and drafted a plan to launch their business.
Journey4YOUth is looking for individuals who will take these small business plans into their community to fund.
You can take this to your school, work place, local coffee shop, church, gym, family, and/ or friends. Some may be able to fund a small business on social media alone.
We're expecting the loans to be between $500 U.S.-$2000 U.S.
Say the average loan is $1250. That would be a lot for one person to give, but completely manageable for a community/group of people. For example 50 people could give $25 each and fund this small business or 25 people could give $50 each. Think about a group of people/community you are a part of and break it down; together we can do so much more.
Giving will be made easy with a page on Journey4YOUths website dedicated to your community and the business you are going to support. People in your community can give $1 or $1000, all donations are tax deductible.
We’ll make this easy for you
We’ll equip you with all the tools to do this you just need to share it with your community until the project is funded. We can provide you with flyers, posters, a press release, church bulletins, receipts, everything you need.
We’ll keep you updated on the progress of the business until it is paid forward to the next person in need and you can share the progress with your community.
